This is a Duplicate post to keep the information together on one page
At this point in the contest I am removing vermontensium from the awaiting to arrive list.
At this point he may not have a mailbox yet alone a house.
Once this is all figured out I may ask for donations (coins) for Dave's collection as he may no longer have one. Dave in in our prayers and we hope he comes out of this in "good" spirits
We are all pulling for you Dave

According to the CalFire Incidence Map, the Eaton fire is 10 miles or less west of vermontensium's home. They remain under evacuation warning. Hopefully he will remain safe and secure.

I just finished checking out the 15 or so pages of gifts and all I can say is WOW!. Our secret santas are amazing! So many excellent gifts.
When I opened my gift I kept saying "Is this guy me?" LOL You absoloutly nailed my gift! Almost everything has a spot in an album and everything else a spot in a binder. In fact, you single handedly filled 3/5 spots in my Capital C-17 United States Odd Type Coins display. Consider me motivated!
Here is what Santa sent:
US 1835 1/2 cent appx F5 - VF 20
US 1864 2 cent Large Motto appx. VF35 - EF40
US 1866 3 cent copper appx. EF40
US 1864 civil war token Fuld 51/342a EF
Ottoman Empire 1912 4 Para appx VF-XF
New Caledonia 1949 1 Frank MS
British India 1943 Half Rupee appx AU
Spanish Philippines 1885 10 Centavo appx F
a set of 1960 Lincoln cents small and large date
A set of 2012 Malaysian coins in a nice card.
I will provide pics once I feel a bit better.
Thank you again for the amazing gift! You really put some serious effort into your selections!

I received a notification that a parcel is waiting for me at the post office. But I am confused by the fact that it is from Azerbaijan. Have we ever had a participant from this country?

Pardon the delay in posting pictures. I'm going to run one through 20Q's before I post them.

I imagine that everyone in Scotland is saddened and horrified by the catastrophic fires in California, I know I am.

What is concerning about the fires is the lack of containment and close proximity to so many Pertanix. Meanwhile here in Texas we received ten inches of snow. That bodes well in keeping the fire danger low for awhile as it too is a concern with the wind as well.

We have about the same amount of snow here. Must be reaking havoc down there. Look at it this way cointagous, Santa needed it to land his sleigh.

Santa's sleigh has been processed through the Miami Florida International Distribution Center, bound for Canada. I guess Santa wanted some sun before making for the snowy north? Regardless, I'm not sure if tracking will continue in Canada. Here's hoping it arrives soon!

Quote: Meanwhile here in Texas we received ten inches of snow. I guess 10" is a lot for Texas but up here in the great white north we have over 4' and snowing now.
