Well I found a listing on ebay and they had it in hand. Asked for photos and he gave much better photos! Now I just have to wait to see how it looks in person. Also is it me or do these look more of reverse proof?

That is the same version of the EUC finish as the 2019 S Enhance Reverse Proof Clad Kennedy half dollar

I wish it was more like the 2013 enhanced uncirculated finish...

The design of the Silver Eagle features three distinct areas that could be frosted in various ways, creating a look that was both unique and aesthetically pleasing.

Can you provide a link for the seller that has it on hand?

Yeah sure can do. He has it right now for 7k. Not sure how someone already has their hands on one, though. They also have the 2026 half dollar rolls and bags in hand. https://www.ebay.com/itm/157949432211

The mint has about 13 major authorized dealers that buy in bulk with required minimum purchases. They can get bullion/coins shortly before they are sold to the public. The mint sales history shows 1,469 had already been sold before today's release. I don't like this policy but nothing much collectors can do about it. Maybe the ebay seller got one of these. This screenshot is a little blurry, sorry. The coin looks good in my opinon but as I said in prior commet the other mints have similar finish as a normal bullion release. I hope the one I'm getting does not have defects like the proof one I sent back for refund. If it does it's going back too.

I remember when the 2024 U S Liberty & Britannia was released. Many collectors thought that gold coin had a ridiculous premium, so there were only 5,539 coins actually struck. When the coin was released, the spot price of gold averaged $2,034 and the cost of the coin was $3025. Today, the price for the coin has soared to over $7,000.00 each on the after-market. I checked the U.S. Mint website and it looks like all 7,500 of the 2026 American Eagle 1 oz gold, enhanced, uncirulated coins have been spoken for. Got mine right at noon and had no problem at all. The process went very smooth.

Uuugh, just too much to say. #1 I did get it (!). I started with going to the Mint website, I suppose 15 before the drop (10:45 my time). No waiting room. This was on my PC. Logged into my account. Went to the coin, figured maybe without the waiting room (which seemed odd), ideally it would just turn red "add to the bag" at 11 central. Did pretty much the same with my phone. I was trying to watch/listen to the YouTube channel "Son of a silver stacker" at the same time, just changing tabs. Someone commented on that channel that there was a waiting room now. This was maybe 1 minute before 11. So I didn't want to mess with either of my devices at that time, so I asked my wife to let me use hers. Went to the USM website, sure enough I had a waiting room in place, I was showing a 1 minute wait on her phone. Refreshed my other devices (wisely or not IDK). My wife's phone got through the waiting room first, so I bagged it and tagged it on that. Processing currently on the mint website and charge is pending on the CC. I'll just end this part of what I want to say, I have a few other comments to make as well.

But is it MS70? Nothing like spending $5K for a new coin and having it graded. If I'm spending that kind of money for a coin it darn well better be a 70! Thing is, I would never know officially because it's staying in the case it came in!

Quote: I would never know officially because it's staying in the case it came in! Same. I don't do much dealing in general with slabbed coins. I've bought a few, mainly some bullion with the implied mint marks. I've never personally sent any in myself. I had a coworker I had a friend send in with his own submissions, since he wanted to make sure he used up his "block" of freebies he had coming with his membership. But yes mine will remain in the OGP.

Problem. My order went through, got confirm email and order says processing. About 4pm I checked my email again. My bank had sent me two emails saying the payment was denied due to lack of funds. I knew I had enough funds. I called the mint. Their rep suggested I change payment to another card, she transferred me to a secure payment and I entered another card number. She said that should take care of the problem. My order did not say it was put on hold. Then I went to my bank account. It showed the payment had been authorized and is pending. So I called a rep at my bank and asked why I got the rejection emails. She said the first payment was approved but the mint had tried to get two more payments out of my account for the order which the bank denied. Very strange. I'll have to wait to see if the order is completed and the coin mailed unless the mint cancels the order. I'll be watching my two accounts to see if money comes out of one or the other, crazy.

that is very strange, I had some issues like that in the past, so on the Mint's site, I deleted my payment options and re entered them and not had an issue since.
