1983 Lincoln Memorial Penny Reverse Extra Large Material Column 4

Attached are a couple pictures of this 1983 Lincoln Memorial penny showing an extra long and large (die chip-expecting) unless there is some other term for this long piece of extra material attached to Column 4 on the reverse. This would not be considered doubling correct?

Interesting Die Chip. I don't think I've ever seen one quite that large in that area.
