I found a nice roll of uncirculated 1945S Jefferson nickels this evening. Very nice toning.

Would appreciate thoughts on the grade of this example. Seems like these need to reach about 66+ to have some real value. Thanks.

I think it could reach MS66. The strike is a touch weak on the reverse and the luster probably keeps it below 67. You really need 67 to even consider grading and 67+ makes it worthwhile. It doesn't look that good but it is very nice.

Check out the windows on Monticello on this 67+. This is a $200 coin.

BH1964, I see your point, particularly regarding the weak reverse strike.

Let's see if I can find a 67 example from the roll. Will be a fun project.
