I noticed that the lettering on Liberty and Quarter Dollar is shallow and broad. Usually that's an indication of Die Deterioration, but the rest of the coin looks normal. Could it be a slightly tapered planchet?

Thank you Brandmeister and makecent!! Quote: Could it be a slightly tapered planchet? @Brandmeister I read some information from error-ref.com, but I'm not sure if this could slightly tapered planchet, this coin weight 5.64, it is within the tolerance weight. Here is the link from: https://www.error-ref.com/tapered-planchets/

Yeah, that's right on the nose for mass. Must just be Die Deterioration and metal flow. Thanks for checking.

Nice find - the condition of that quarter is great for a roll find.
