Hello CCF,

Can any of these Ancient coins be restored? If so, what method(s) do you recommend?

You would need magic to restore those. I put coins like that in my junk jar as they are beyond any help.

Coins that worn, corroded, damaged cannot be identified, are not worth trying to restore.

There are posts here on CCF and online how to properly clean/restore ancient coins and Youtube videos to watch. Be careful, don't use methods that are abrasive, that scratch or damage the patina.

A thin worn coin, as they said, can't get any better. If you have a thick coin with layers of encrustation, it is tempting to see what might be under there. But sadly, the layers are often corrosion that grows from the coin and once you get down to the coin level, the corrosion you find is continuing deep into the coin, so if you removed it you are left with a pitted item.
