There is nothing that conclusively states the American Innovation Dollar Proof sets will be discontinued. Furthermore, it seems there will be several designs to celebrate the 250th US anniversary on the circulating quarters. So, I would say that, for now, the proof sets will be issued once the US Mint re-evaluates its pricing as the run up in silver and gold as well as even copper has forced them to refrain from producing many products to sell until they figure a price point. By the way, when there is a hyper-inflation like event occuring with the price of silver and gold, this is what happens, goods become hoarded by producers for fear of losing money as they are being sold. So, be careful what you wish for when gleefully celebrating the meteoric rise in spot prices these past several months.
The arguement that the proofs would be included in the regular set is a possibility but not because there would be extra room since there will be several designs planned for the quarters this year. If it were to be done, the proof set would look more like the ones from 2007- 2016 when the Presidential dollars were included.
Finally I did not see such a message as you shared on the US Mint website. Either it was removed, I missed it, or the message was only for those interested in starting a subscription this year. I have subscribed to the AI $1 Proof set since 2019.
In sum, we need this doubly verified - hopefully Coin World or another Numismatic News outlet will confirm whether this will happen or not. It would be amore efficient to simply incluyde them in the regular proof set (and recall when the reverse proof coins were sold individually in the fancy presentation pack for $11? I checked ebay for what these sell now - very interesting as in many cases the sold price exceed the US Mint price although a few go below US Mint price. Only a few years ago you could get them on ebay for half the government issued price. (Guess my local coin dealer's determination that the sets were "junk" has turned out, for the time being, to be incorrect.) So the IUS Mint does tinker around with its products as it did with the reverse proof coins when they switched to selling them as a set of all the coins for that year.
