I recently went to my bank and asked for a box of Lincoln pennies so that I could hunt for copper pennies. To my surprise, the entire box was full of uncirculated bank-wrapped 2025-D Lincoln Cent rolls.

I know that these pennies are supposed to be somewhat rare, and they are said to be the last year of circulating Lincoln cents that will be minted. I see that so far, 645.2 million Denver cents have been minted - so they can't be that scarce.

Anyways, what should I do with these penny rolls? Are they worth keeping? Or should I spend them and put them into circulation?

Consider putting them into circulation--some people will be looking for them and would be happy to find 'em. An alternative would be to list some rolls on ebay. There are collectors looking on ebay for what you have. Good luck!

I'd keep a few rolls for the heck of it then just take the rest back to the bank.

I like Marve65's suggestion. I'd do that.

When it was known they were stopping this year, as is common with everything nowadays from ebay shysters and social media, rumors started spreading how much money they would be worth as a highly sought after collectible.

Sorry for the necropost, but I got a box of 2025-P and D and managed to sell them on ebay for $320. Anyone who gets one, it's worth putting it up.
