The day I have an event to attend where I will have little to no time to watch the markets?

Thankfully I'm off tomorrow so I'll be watching with a big cup of coffee on my desktop platform with all the gadgets, buttons, lights, and doohickeys and on a big screen, instead of the usual mobile 5 inch screen. Sorry I'm geeking out in anticipation

Quote: And we all know what tomorrow is Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that we don't "all" know. Apart from it being Friday, of course. Care to elaborate?

Keith67, personally, just an observation! I do find it intriguing.
I don't really have a horse in the race per se...

Quote: I still can't figure out, if you all are complaining or rejoicing. Personally, I'm rejoicing when the price goes up and complaining when it goes down. But that's because I started seriously stacking silver post-2011 when the prices dropped back below $20/oz and am at the point where I pretty much own as much bulk silver as I ever plan on owning (I still occasionally buy individual collectible silver coins, of course). I'm a hoarder, not a day trader, so I only want to see prices go higher and higher. And speaking of day traders, I'm still trying to figure out what was supposed to be special about today. Are you there, Harry213? Harry213? Bueller?

Quote:I still can't figure out, if you all are complaining or rejoicing... I'm 50/50 Same, but I'm fortunate in that it doesn't matter to me which way it goes, as I can position myself to benefit either way with paper trading. All I have to do is watch and study the price action to determine where the peaks and valley's are, (best times to get in or out). And watch and follow all of the things that cause these swings. And with the added benefit of buying and selling leveraged instruments in the Options market, I can hedge against my positions, I can play either side, go long or go short, or "sell premium" by selling spreads with expirations as far out in the future as needed to allow price to move in my direction. So with all those tools I don't necessarily have to be right today or even this week, I can use time to my advantage. So for me every day is fun, exciting and can present opportunities whether metals go up or down. Though I try not to bring out the dancing fruit when I profit from metals going down, I dance on the inside. As for my physical Silver stack and collection, I'm also fortunate in that I've already bought and collected most of what I wanted to own or collect. Been collecting since the 80's and 90's so most of the cheaper Silver coin sets I ever wanted are complete and the one's I'm missing are worth far more than their bullion value, and always have been, so again it doesn't matter to me wether silver goes up or down since it won't effect what I need or want to buy. And I don't plan to sell anything in the immediate future. Quote: And speaking of day traders, I'm still trying to figure out what was supposed to be special about today. Are you there, Harry213? Harry213? Bueller? Sorry, busy day on my day off of all things and then needed my old man nap this afternoon so I fell asleep Quote: So... nothing particularly special about today after all, eh? Well besides being Friday, sometimes referred to as "smackdown Friday" due to all the profit taking. Today was also an options expiration day as well as some economic data was scheduled to come out today. So with all that combined, what could have been a volatile day in the markets turned out to be a nothing burger. Now we'll have to wait and see what surprises are in store for next week.

Quote: Back to $80.51 as I post...quite the long stretch in the 70's! That is very noteworthy. Silver trading in the 70's (or around $70 dollar's to be more specific) as I've said before, in my opinion, looks a lot like the happy median price, at least for now. Maybe even a floor, at least for now. Though I think that floor is still in the upper $60's.. Because a rising baseline can be formed from back when it was $40 to $50 to the recent $60's levels.. And if Silver stays above $70 for the next couple of months that base line will come up to meet it, and further act as support. Unless something happens between now and then to dramatically change that tragectory.

About a month ago, April 17th, Silver hit a high $83.835 Today Silver is about 40 cent's from that peaks high. Will it be strong enough to break through that ceiling and close above that prior peak today? Or will it get rejected?
