SDBullion paying $9 back that's fine since I'm not selling. If this keeps up small stacks like mine will be solicited and paid a spread that's not so wide I get dealers and smelters need their fair slice and i.m.o. so do small stackers. GC had fire sale Sunday pm on MS69 platinum eagles I threw out some low balls $30 over spot and got lucky on a few below spot, premiums for better dates ate up in the fray. Eexciting times most of us knew this was likely back in 2018 I'm thankful I harped to close friends and family I'm watching the show from sidelines.

Silver moving up this fast isn't what we really want slow and steady is a much better situation.9 dollars in 2 days is not how I would hope for it to go.I watch a lot of on line auctions and people are paying $ 16 and more over spot. That is hard to swallow.and on that note do you think the general public is now starting to wake up to silver and gold.

I expect higher volatility in the short term. Industrial demand is not going away. Silver has been at a deficit for years and I don't expect that to change. I cannot believe I am saying this, but I expect silver over $100 very soon. There will be days when it is down significantly as well - hold on!

Well I bought 10 brand new Maples today and 10 ASE's and the prices are starting to make my knees weak. The only reason I bought , and I'm not a wealthy man, is because so much of my stack was from $29 to $50 and it made the risk worthwhile. My guy sold me all for $83 each and I counted myself lucky but $1,660.00 is no small investment for me.

So, if people ^ are buying silver ounces at $83, has silver reached $83? I would say yes it has. Why would buy/sell prices be limited to just comex? Silverskunk, thanks for sharing your purchase and I hope it goes to the moon so that both you and I can make a few bucks.

APMEX right now, if you want less than 100 American Eagles you will pay over $90. I'm amazed.

interestingly, if you're on APMEX, get into the silver section, USMint, ASEs, burnished, start examining how much inventory they have for the burnished eagles, w/box & COA. just scroll back, page after page, and notice how little they have. it wasn't this empty at the start of the year. I only looked at type l reverses; starting at 2020 and going backward. I didn't begin seeing burnished coins w/box & COA until 2013 ($100.59). they have LOTS of slabbed coins, but very little w/box & COA. they used to be well-stocked. not anymore. same can be said of proofs w/box & COA... very little to choose from. I only point out APMEX because they used to have a huge inventory. looks like the less expensive stuff is disappearing.

Silverskunk I also made a small purchase yesterday Buffalos 81 apiece and philharmonic 84 apiece. Personally I would like to see silver stay where it's at for months with small swings. But I'm afraid that is not the case. Personally think with in 6 months it will be at or around 100$. Just my opinion.

Where were you guys last week when I was selling 3 - 1oz silver bars here $1 under spot, with free USPS Flat Rate Small Box Priority shipping? Silver was $67.15 at the time; I was basically selling it at $61 an ounce ($6 below spot)... I took it down when silver went to $72.21 an oz., and was able to sell the same silver bars on ebay for $245. Silver at the time of sale 74.83 an oz... The craziness is the 17% ebay takes for themselves!!

Quote:The craziness is the 17% ebay takes for themselves!! Which is why I prefer to list here on CCF instead of ebay. Gives members a chance to save a little money. I've got 90% listed at $70 an ounce and 40% at $65 an ounce while current spot is over $79.

Coinforme I'm old school I did look at all the stuff for sale on this site. I'm cash , check, or credit card. I have no form of on line payment other than credit card. Which won't happen, and clearly cash isn't an option. So that leaves a check.

Quote: and 40% at $65 an ounce while current spot is over $79. May I ask without it being rude... Who is buying 40%? I only ask because a few months ago I walked into my regular LCS and asked (granted it was before the spike in price) what they were paying...and I felt like I got walked out the door... Is there really a market for this "stuff" or is it just "stuff"? I would really like to hear what others have to say. smat

Go look at bay sold items and you will see even War Nickels sell (currently in the $3-$4 range) And let's not forget the IKE enthusiast. My 40% lot is mostly Ikes!

This is hopeful if solid state EV batteries come on. Current EVs use 25-55 grams of silver per vehicle. Elon was complaining about the high cost of silver as an EV manufacturer.
