The nick on the reverse looks much worse in the pic, remember this coin is a little smaller than the Half Dime and 3mm (2.9mm to be exact) smaller diameter than a dime, The nick is not deep.

Nice coin Cownas! Yeah, you would probably need a 30x loupe to see that nick. My guess is AU-58 due to some minor luster breaks in the field. I wouldn't be surprised at a lower MS grade either.

im a new poster and I've been working on my type set for a bout 3 yrs and have finally narrowed it down to six coins left. its been the only set that I have done that has been fun, it can be pretty hard though especially because at least three of the coins I'm missing cost well over $100 and I'm only 16 so $100 is a lot. I have not got into the gold part of the type set because my album didnt come with it but anyway by far the 7070 type set is my favorite album.

Terrific coin! It looks to have more luster than I usually see on these types. I'm not going to guess on the grade, because I suck at these.

It has been a while since I have posted on this forum, I think I spent $$$ myself out of the hobby for a while after becoming obsessed over the 7070. Looking back over my post makes me want to start looking for the next hole to fill...Need to raise more "coin" fund money and start filling holes again!

I had to put myself on a budget. $50 a month plus a little extra here and there around birthdays and Christmas. It slows you down but sometimes necessarily!

I really love this thread, and find gary's type set quite impressive so I wanted to keep it alive. I now have 41 coins in the set, and it has been a little over a year since I began this huge and wonderful task. I have never had more fun with this hobby than I have working on this set. (I have also added some coins not included in the dansco album...

Pics of some of the coins added this year to this point.

Congrats Cownas! I love the reverse of that indian. Are you pulling these out of the slabs to put in the 7070?

For now I am housing them in Intercept shield slab boxes. I have not found the perfect sollution for the final set to be housed as I would like to keep them in the slabs,I was going to get custom pages made a while back but that fell through.

Cownas, you should think about air-tite albums. I started a thread about my Type set that I'm doing in these. Might be up your alley.
