Beautiful banknotes, everyone! I love the colors on that Costa Rica note, NumisRob, and the dancing scene on your Seychelles note, scopru! Quote: CB, I thought you might appreciate the pretty birds portrayed on the reverse. Absolutely! That's a lovely scene, one I will definitely keep an eye out for. I'll add a 1989 Tonga 1 Pa'anga P-19c, part of my growing Tonga type set. The obverse depicts King Taufa'ahau, while the reverse has a beauitful village scene.

Here is my undated Jamaican Dollar that I suspect having been printed in 1989. I'd love confirmation and/or gentle correction. Thx all!

Spence - The 1989 note should have the date in the lower right corner on the front between the crest and the number area.
I believe your note is from 1960 (ND1970) ND (1982-1986) with likely date being 1982-1983 issue. I do not have my reference book with me, but a very fast search leads me to say your note is P54 P64a.
Edited - to correct my comments after reviewing my notes and standard catalog - speed kills and @walk2dwater nailed it. Apologies for any confusion on post something I had not thoroughly vetted.

Quote: Here is my undated Jamaican Dollar that I suspect having been printed in 1989. I'd love confirmation and/or gentle correction. Thx all! That's the first "Jefferson" signature, acting Governor, on P-64 $1.00 @Spence. These "Bank of Jamaica Act" notes were first issued in 1982. HGB (Barber) took over as the central bank Governor in 1983* & it is unlikely the new signature reached the streets before 1984. So that note would have been issued between 1982 - 1983. Jamaican notes started with single-letter prefixes followed by 2 letter prefixes (like your FG) See this Numista entry on P-64: https://en.numista.com/218685*From the Oct 6th 2007, Jamaican Gleaner News Obit on HGB: https://old.jamaica-gleaner.com/gle...siness1.htmlQuote: 1988 Czechoslovakia 20 Korun: Lovely note @NumisRob! For 1988 I have: Australia $10 P-49b This Commemorative $10 was Australia's first successful plastic note. It doesn't look like much from the scan but is quite impressive in hand. See this Numista entry for P-49: https://en.numista.com/204026My 2nd entry I picked up because I lived in St. Lucia for nearly a year & came across an old ONE Dollar note from this series: Eastern Caribbean Central Bank $20 P-24L See the Numista entry for P-24: https://en.numista.com/248670

1988 Jamaica $50 P-73a: Just found this $50 which was also from 1988. I had to check a couple resources but it does appear to be the first FIFTY Dollar note from Jamaica. I found this strange b/c I also have the early $100 ( P-74b) which was dated 1987 (the first, P-74a version came in 1986, or 2 years before the $50, P-73a)

Thx all for the lessons in dating banknotes--seems much more complicated than coins at times! Here is a 1000 Dong note dated 1988 and pulled from circulation in Vietnam:

Outstanding banknotes, everyone! I love the blue color of the Czechoslovakia note, NumisRob, and the beach scenes on your Caribbean notes, walk2dwater! Quote: Here is a 1000 Dong note dated 1988 and pulled from circulation in Vietnam: I just got that banknote today! The elephant scene on the reverse is great. I'll post two banknotes from Rwanda for 1988. This 1000 Francs P-21a shows dancers on the obverse. The reverse scene features gorillas and men in a canoe on a lake.

This 1988 Rwanda 5000 Francs P-22a has a woman with a basket of fruit on her head and a family harvesting coffee on the obverse. The reverse shows a banana tree and Lake Kivu.

Quote: Here is a 1000 Dong note dated 1988 and pulled from circulation in Vietnam: -That's pretty cool you pulled that from the wild @Spence. I had to get one myself (for the elephant on the back)! Quote: I'll post two banknotes from Rwanda for 1988 I think it is remarkable how nice those notes were preserved from the humid climates of Africa. The gorillas & men paddling on the back of that 1000 Francs is very eye-grabbing. Great adds CB! 1987This is my 2nd toughest post-independence Jamaican note. It is Jamaica P-74b $100 & features Sir Donald Sangster on the front & Dunns River Falls on the back. I taught in Jamaica & some Jamaican friends took me to walk the falls one gorgeous sunny day. https://en.numista.com/213806The 2nd note is from Portugal. It is P-180 a 500 Escodos: It features politician Mouzinho da Silveira (1789-1849) on the front & decorative motifs related to agriculture on the back (according to Numista). https://en.numista.com/204655
