Lovely banknotes, everyone! Glad to see we're getting more members participating! Quote: I hope this counts, since PMG mentions it. Yes, absolutely. As long as there is a verifiable way to date a ND note, it will count. I usually link to Numista since I don't have any graded notes. My contribution for today joins the troupe from Indonesia, a 1964 5 Sen P-91r. This is a replacement note, so not quite as common as the regular issue. I also got it in a lot of world banknotes years ago, along with a 1 Sen.

My last bank note for today is this 5 New Francs from France.

1963... A rest from Indonesia today with a couple of British notes. This was a new design for 1963 and was the first Bank of England £5 note to have the monarch's portrait. The first issues were signed by the Chief Cashier Jasper Quintus Hollom. The note was designed by Reynolds Stone, whose own young daughter was the model for Britannia on the reverse: My second note for 1963 is a One Pound note from Jersey in the Channel Islands, with a young Queen Elizabeth II on the front and Mont Orgueil Castle on the back.

Great notes! I'm a big fan of French notes and those showing QEII. My note for today: Finland P# 100a - 10 Markkaa - 1963 (PMG 67 EPQ)

Fantastic notes today! Love the castle vignette on the Jersey note. Today I have a ND (1963) Paraguay 50 Guaranies P-197b. The obverse has a portrait of Mariscal Jose F. Estigarribia, while the reverse has a great rural bridge scene.

I also have a Series 1963 5 Dollars United States Note (Fr. 1536). Amazingly, this note was pulled from circulation about a decade ago.

Nice notes CollegeBarbers and SchwarzerEinser! I like the bridge on the Paraguayan 50 Guaranis! 1962 - and a French 5-franc note from the same series as Spence's, but in slightly better condition. The portrait is the French author Victor Hugo, best known today for his masterpiece 'Les Miserables'. The large domed building behind Hugo on the front of the note is the Pantheon, where Hugo (and many other notable French people) are buried. The reverse shows the Place des Vosges in Paris, where Hugo had an apartment. The note has the value in 'New Francs' (nouveaux francs): France introduced the New Franc, worth 100 old francs, in 1960, and for a few years coins and notes bearing values in both old and new francs were in circulation together.

Quote: Nice notes CollegeBarbers and SchwarzerEinser! I like the bridge on the Paraguayan 50 Guaranis! & like Rob's French contributions too! Most French designed notes have been long time favourites for me. I'm now busy trying to get a few. I was blocked from contributing/or viewing while vacationing in Mexico . So that was a little disappointing . 1962I have this English P-373b 10 Shillings with the 2nd Hollom signature: https://en.numista.com/203302I just recently acquired this 50 Francs P-5 from the Democratic Republic of the Congo but haven't photographed it yet. Here's the dealer's image: https://en.numista.com/201828

@walk2dwater Speaking of French-designed banknotes - here's my 1962 example. (PCGS labels it ND (1962).) I'll have to get it reholdered; nearly my whole collection is in PMG holders. It's a slippery slope. Cameroon P# 11 - 500 Francs - ND (1962) (PCGS 67 PPQ)

Tremendous banknotes, everyone! Welcome back, walk2dwater! Hope you enjoyed your vacation. My contribution was an unexpected find at my LCS last month: a 1962 50 Pesos Bolivianos P-162a(11). This is the only note in my collection that has mismatched serial numbers.
