And here is a Lebanese 10,000 Pound note that dates to either 2012 or 2014. Maybe one of you wicked smart banknote collectors can help me narrow this down to a single year? I've only looked here:

Great additions, Spence! I've always liked that portrait of QEIII on the Canada $20; she looks very dignified. The Lebanon note is from 2014, P-92b. The date is on the obverse below the third signature. Numista lists it here. Evidently the prefix also helps narrow it down. For a picture of your exact note from 2014, check out the Bank Note Museum. It's the best source for photo references.

Great additions, walk2dwater! I especially like the Fiji note! It has a very attractive and colorful design.

Thanks @CollegeBarbers!

Nice addition @Spence (Glad you could add that TWENTY of ours!)

2011
Here's two Commemoratives I posted here on CCF back in February of 2021. They're P-212B a low # & replacement (P-212Br) celebrating the University of the Philippines Law School on the 100 Pesos. While I have seen the odd low # commemoratives, it was the first time I saw a replacement for one of these:

How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
The front features "Front-facing bust of Manuel A. Roxas at left centre, USA and Philippines flag at right." The back of the note features the new Central Bank complex (& an inset picture of the old bank):
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
What's interesting about the currency of the Philippines during 2010-2013 is that they produced these older designed series while France printed up their New Generation series from 2010-2013. I posted 2018 examples six days ago here (printed by the Philippines) https://goccf.com/t/485372&whichpage=4#4396461

Very cool commemorative notes and serial numbers! Both end in 859, too! At first the imagery of bank buildings on banknotes did not pique my interest, but I'm growing to like them more. Your notes are a great example of how to do it well, with an oblique aerial image of the complex. It almost looks like a model.

2011 is another gap year for me, but I can post tomorrow.

-Thanks!
The last 3 digits (corresponding serial numbers) did not come by accident. Since I was a repeat customer (& the seller didn't have what I was asking for) he suggested this pairing. At first, I wasn't too thrilled about it (I wanted whatever I was asking for) but then warmed up to the idea. One of the reasons I wasn't a big fan of these was b/c the Philippines produced about 20 different commemorative 100 Peso types during that period 2010-2014 (with this old design) so they're common & just weren't something on my radar. The pairing was great b/c I hadn't seen anything like it!

Here's another common 2011 note P-58a 200 Dinara from Serbia:
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
The front features the portrait & sculpture of Nadežda Petrovic (as artist) & the back features her back silhouette as a nurse in front of the Gracanica Monastery during the Balkan war.

I was wondering if it was intentional, so that makes sense! Definitely a unique pairing for sure, and a worthy addition to your collection!

Thanks for your positive feedback @CollegeBarbers!

2010
This is the year I got a LOT of French produced New Generation low # notes like this P-207 Fifty Pesos:
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
P-207a 50 Pesos features Sergio Osmeña on the front & there is the MacArthur Leyte landing party in the centre. Taal Lake and Giant Trevally fish are featured on the reverse.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacAr...ational_Park

But I also got the old Filipino printed TWENTY Pesos (P-182j) printed/issued the same year:
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
(While they have the same year they also have different signatures).
They feature Manuel Quezon on front & a palace on the back.

And the last note is this P-212 little Hong Kong $20 from the HSBC:
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
All of the HSBC notes feature lion statues (that were outside their HQ) & this one has children making lanterns for the Mid-Autumn festival on the reverse. I don't have an image for the back but you can see it on the Numista entry for P-212:

Great banknotes, walk2dwater! I really like the reverse of that 50 Pesos. You can't go wrong with fish!

I have two banknotes for 2010, starting with this Mexico 20 Pesos P-122n. The obverse depicts Benito Juárez at right and a scale and book at left. The reverse shows the City of Monte Albán in Oaxaca.

I also have a 2010 Zambia 100 Kwacha P-38i. The obverse has a majestic African Fish Eagle, while the reverse shows an African buffalo head, Victoria Falls, and the Freedom Statue.

I like both your 2010 notes but the 100 Kwacha has great colours & a fish eagle so it wins out!

2009
This P-274 1000 Colones was my first World polymer purchase after a trip to Costa Rica. It features a portrait of Braulio Carrillo Colina on front & Illustrations of cactus, white-tailed deer on the back.

I wanted this note after a fantastic week in their Punta Leona Nature reserve. Unfoturnately, every note I came across was well circulated & crumpled, so I had to purchase an UNC example when I returned.

I also picked up this P-53c 5 Lati from Latvia after my trip to the Baltics. Its one of the few notes I have which doesn't feature a person on it. The 10 & 20 Lats are similar & they get much tougher to source the higher the denomination since Latvia is such a small nation.

The date can be seen below the coat of arms (on the back). Once again, I couldn't source a note for my collection while travelling the countryside b/c all the currency I came across was heavily circulated & soiled. The Euro was soon replacing the Lati as well (another likely reason their currency was so scarce to come by at the time)

Two lovely banknotes! The Latvia note especially has a beautiful simplicity that really appeals to me.

I'm fond of notes from The Gambia, including this ND (2009) 5 Dalasis P-25b. The obverse features a giant kingfisher next to a portrait of a girl, while the reverse has a scene of cattle grazing. It's a very pleasant banknote.
