I completed my Silver Eagle collection a couple months ago. I have every Silver Eagle except the 1995 W Proof which has been out of my price range since I started the collection, and the 2025 Marine Privy. The Marine privy is on backorder. My collection includes all proofs, privy marked proofs, reverse proofs, enhanced proofs, burnished, 2008 ASE with 2007 reverse burnished coin, privy marked bullion and, bullion coins. How many of you that collect ASE's include the bullion coins in your collection? I am contemplating putting my bullion coins in my silver stacking side. I will keep these bullion coins: - 2006 since there is a slight premium for those - A pair of 2009 since there were no proofs that year - 2015 P - 2020 P and S - 2021 P and S types 1 and 2 - 2024 Star privy bullion - 2025 Eagle privy bullion I would like to hear your collecting thoughts. I can add proof of collection pictures if needed

I also have all of the ASE's except the 95W. I keep the Bullion and Bullion with privys in a Lighthouse ASE album. I added extra pages when they were available. The album is maxed out with pages and I doubt if I will fill it. The others are housed in Lighthouse Cap's albums and Lighthouse slabs albums. I keep the OGP and COAs in totes so they can be reunited in the fututre. I've got several ASE dupes that I had TPG certified. I'm also waiting for the Marine privy to be released.

@carlp007 - Yes, please post up your ASE images. We are a visual group of people and love to look at coins. I for one would love to see your collection. @barkeep - Would also love to see your collection and your album storage of them, but please start a new topic for your collection.

I only collect ASE by type, but if I had a set like yours I would want to keep all the ladies together.

Second: My trove is identical to yours but I sold a boatload of sports cards (vintage baseball & contemporary basketball) to finance the acquisition and subsequent grading of a 95-W. . .2025 was a brutally expensive year for ASE collectors and I'm hoping there are fewer issues in 2026. I'm not an album guy so most of my ASE's remain in their OGP. Third: I have every bullion example also but keep them in a different container from the others. Some of the bullion issues are slabbed. Many are in 2 x 2's. I keep track of my coin collection using spreadsheets. For the ASE's, I have two workbooks: one is a chronological list of every ASE issue, with the usual info, e.g., amount paid, date acquired, grading info, mint issue prices. The second workbook is Bullion issues only. The worksheets came in handy as I assembled the collection and were a great way to add tips, comments, and suggestions from ASE collectors on the CCF and elsewhere. Strictly speaking, I am not a silver stacker, however I consider the bullion coins to be my silver stash. . . You might consider keeping a 2010 bullion out of the stacking group as there was no UNC issued that year, only the 2010 W proof.

Thanks for the insight, everyone, I too have a spread sheet that includes mintages, purchase date, purchase price, how it is kept (OGP, capsule, slab, graded, display, etc...), and notes for each coin if needed. I like the idea of adding the mint issued pricing (thanks cptbilly) I did have all the bullion coin in a Dansco album but changed them over to capsules in a binder.
I will add the 2010 to my must keep stack. However, the more and more I read I'm convinced. I will be keeping each bullion year in the collection.

I one each of every bullion issue in a Lighthouse Volterra box in a Guardhouse capsule, including the 2 privy marked bullion issues. I started a new box this year, the first one is full. I think holds 40 ASEs. I do have a PDF available that I made with every individual release and every set made with an ASE in it, which is what my set consists of. Has production numbers and original costs.

Quote:How many of you that collect ASE's include the bullion coins in your collection? I don't separate any of my ASEs. They are stored together in boxes. If they come in OGP they stay in OGP. If they come loose then they go into plastic coin capsules and a small zip-lock baggie. When I started collecting ASEs in December, 2019 I did not set any goals to complete any type because I was new to collecting and did not know what all was out there. When I found them at a good price I bought them. While I do not have every mint mark I have multiple Proof, Certified and BU from every year they were produced. The BUs includes 3 burnished coins from each year and a few burnished MS-70s. I also have 33 ASEs in special sets like the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set, 2011 25th Anniversary 5 coin box set, the 2016 Ronald Reagan Chronicles Set, etc. There are pictures of all of these coins on my American Silver Eagle Collection page.
