I was hoping for somewhat lower than that; $150? Have to wait to see if silver continues this rocket ride it's on. Hoping it doesn't enter 3 digit price ranges. The last increases we had I think is when it reached the upper $30 range. So if it can stay under $100, they'd bump it up $55 more, plus or minus. Unless they need a more for labor costs, etc. Everything else seems pretty stable now. The last raises seemed to have more to do with the economy of running the mint vs raw materials. Everyone was trying to understand the price increases the last time, because it seemed to be a stable silver market. It'll be both interesting and painful. Well, at least it's just a hobby to us.

Quote: my guess is $250 OMG. I hope not. I look at the US Mint premium as a certain amount, just a "fee", a set number, not a percentage. If looked at as a percentage on the metal content, then higher amounts could be calculated. But looking at spot prices at this time vs the last time they raised prices, I'm hoping for, will in hoping for sub-$150, but realistically at least under $200. $250 though? Ouch. Hope not!

If $250 happens, I'm definitely out for anything with PMs from the Mint. PM markets will correct at some point and I'll (possibly) get them on the secondary market when sanity returns.
Heck at $150 I will be seriously thinking about whether or not it's worth it to stay in the game.

I will definitely get one silver proof set at the minimum. Everything else may have to get skipped.

1-29-2026 Silver: $111.42 (FWIW, it was ~$117 around noon today) = +20.14% over two weeks Gold: $5,213.18 = +12.87% over two weeks. Maybe the $173 W Proof ASE won't be so out of whack by the time it releases in February.

I know this was mentioned, but seems glossed over, that in the product schedule, the Uncirculated is listed as Enhanced Uncirculated now.

I look forward to seeing the descriptions at the USM e-commerce site in due time, Gilly. Plenty of time to cancel my subscriptions if necessary. Curious if the move from Philly to West Point has anything to do with the UNC Morgan & Peace coins getting the "enhanced" finishes. . .
