$67. #8 of 40 acquired recently. Recently I purchased 40 slabbed Morgan dollars (36 ANACS, 3 PCGS and 1 ICG) and will post one a day alongside one Peace dollar. I paid an average of $67 for the 40 coins. This time I will post the grade of the coin 2 days after and this time we can compare our grades with those of TPGs. Thoughts? Thanks! I'll say MS-62.

This one is either a slider or MS-62. Hard to call it from just pictures for me

I'm leaning toward a softly struck low MS grade. The obverse die was polished once or twice in its life before this coin was struck, but there is still evidence of clashing on both sides.

This should be a fun coin to VAM. Your coin has pretty sharply mismatched die states, and it has to be at least the second use of the obverse die. There are some interesting light cracks and plenty of clash marks. Be sure to check for the overlapping reeding that appears on several VAMs. The obverse is the typical New Orleans pancake, but the reverse die is newer and produced much better detail, even with the weak strike. Both the obverse and reverse are busy, but the knocks aren't particularly deep, especially on the obverse. The central devices fared better than the fields, but there are a lot of knocks, though. I think this one makes MS-62, and it isn't terrible for the grade. I can't see clear evidence of circulation here.

QSG...was thinking 64, but then thought "would a dealer include a 64 in a bulk buy even if it's to N.S. ?" Obverse fields look more like scuff mark then nicks but I feel the reverse brings it down.
So I'll say 63

Looking at this coin, I thought it was slightly undergraded and deserved to be a 62. Despite having a nice, clean cheek, the sliding hit in the left obverse field precluded it from getting higher.

63+ in first pictures. Comment picture is 62, original images don't show the cheek scratches.
