Hi everyone, I am new to this and inherited a coin collection and still trying to figure out the difference between Die Deterioration and doubling. Can anybody me direct me to some literature or a site that explains how to tell. For example, I am looking at a 1958 mint set still in its original wrapper and the penny looks odd when I see the word 'god". I tried to look up variety vista for a match but no way this penny looks like it . But they did have one other category which was unassigned with no pictures. so I am still trying to determine if this set is worth keeping. If anyone can help . I thank you in advance.

People on here are great!
It will seem overwhelming at times. But, if you keep looking, reading, relooking, etc, etc,, you will make progress and enjoy yourself more and more.
I've only been here slightly more than one year, and, have learned a great deal because of everyone's guidance.
