*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***hello all, I read in replies not to long ago that some like to see pics of before and afters with Acetone. I soaked 3 kennedys in Acetone over the last couple days. All have the same green scotch tape residue. I pulled them out twice, used a tooth pick to loosen residue. If the group would prefer I not post these just let me know. thanks. before after before after thanks.

I think that's a tremendous improvement. In this case, I can't see the harm. An ordinary Kennedy half isn't a big money coin, and with that hideous tape residue, it's already a details coin. It looks way better cleaned than filthy. I'd call it a good job.

They both look great! The one that had the tape looks much better than it did before. Nice job.

Excellent save! I recommend starting with water next time, it's practically free and helps with the process. Move to acetone only if needed.
