Good work, castor!
Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what we could be looking at for values on these?

Only time will tell as to the value? But with the small percentage of them being found they are one to look for.
What has everyone found with the Petro Canada coins I have only 1 but it's the same as the non-countersunk painted coin?

8 more rolls today,17 coloured,no scarce one.One of the rolls had no coloured coins, and two had only one in each, perhaps the supply of coloured coins is coming to an end.

Well, I went to the Royal Bank today, and the chick told me that they are only getting rolls in which there are only a few colourized coins. Sounds like the same rolls you guys are finding. Well, out of 2 colourized I got from them both of them were single maple leaf line, both countersunk. I also walked out of there with 4 non colourized, all of which are double maple leaf lined, normal 2. While looking at these with a x10 loupe, I'm amazed how sloppy the red has been applied on the colourized coins.

Oh, for sure...there doesn't seem to be any consistency between one red coin and another.

I finally got my colored raised '2' I think my odds were 1/41 Curious while surfing ebay I found this: "AFTER CHECKING ALL 560 COINS IN MY 14 ROLLS WITH A 10 POWER 'MAGNIFIER', I HAVE NOW FOUND A 4TH VARIATION OF THE 12TH ISSUE OF THIS OLYMPIC COIN. ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE COIN, THERE IS A 'DOUBLING' ERROR' CAUSED BY A 'CHIPPED' OR ''DEFECTIVE'' DIE THAT I HAVE FOUND ON A VERY SMALL NUMBER OF THE (PLAIN COINS ONLY). THIS ERROR CANNOT BE DETECTED WITHOUT MAGNIFICATION. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...370277849282

I got 12 more rolls from RBC yesterday and found 8 regular 2's in 108 total coloured, so to update Castor's numbers:
Coin community forum
On 479 colorized coins =
Contersunk 2 = 457
Same as regular 2 = 22 or 4.6%
Total for three forums
On 2041 colorized coins =
Contersunk 2 = 1926
Same as regular 2 = 115 or 5.6%
5.6% of 3,000,000 = 168,000 possible
