When I was ordering mine, I kept hitting the add to cart button. When I got to the validation page it showed 4 for the number of sets ordered. When I tried to go to the checkout page a error came up in red letters at top of page saying I exceeded the number of sets allowed. I had to change number to one set, and save changes to continue.

I was able to get 3. I had some friends help. What puzzled me is that when I went back in last night, they were still for sale but the shipping date changed to 11/15/09

Looks like they have not sold out as of yet... Funny, When I look on ebay under the completed listings, I show some people have sold them for as high as $245.00

I'm actually a little surprised they haven't sold out yet. I had such a hard time ordering one yesterday, I just assumed by 6pm they would have posted a wait list notice. Its now Friday and I haven't seen that notice yet. I wonder how many sets are left before they sell out?

Just a thought, I placed an order yesterday at 12:13 and received an order confirmation #, a friend of mine called me last night at about 9:45 and he placed an order, when I asked him for his order # and did the math, his# vs mine, I came up with 54,521 in a difference, I do know that at 10:15 A M today, Friday, they still are selling the sets, go figure.....I wonder if they are taking all the orders they can and comes time to actually send them, people will receive the dreaded E-Mail, Sorry, your order has been cancelled!!W/E something is not Kosher!!!

I would think they would keep selling them because inevitably there will be some people who's credit cards won't go through or the shipping and billing address don't match or some other problem. Your credit card doesn't actually get charged until the item is being shipped out, so right now any or all of the orders they already have could be invalid due to billing or shipping issues or what have you. They won't know until they actually try and charge the person's card for the order, which will happen around Oct. 30 it seems.

I have no idea if they actually do this, but consider the possibility that they may intentionally skip order numbers to reduce fraud. It is also possible there was a huge run on the mint sets yesterday, driving up the order number count. Personally, I think they are expecting that a large number of the orders will be canceled because of bad payment or violation of the "one per" rule. They may have delayed issuing the wait list notice until they can better assess the true availability.

You're right about that. I'm sure a number of orders will be cancelled for those reasons.

Yes, yesterday was quite eventful on the Internet, at least at the mint web-site! I had signed on at 8:56 am pacific time, at 9:00 was thrown off due to exceeding the 30 minutes of inactivity after getting back to the site(almost an impossibility!)and adding another computer to the fray, the wireless connection won out...after an hour and forty five minutes, received confirmation #33175XXX it was slow, but should be worth the effort.

Just to the numbers people, my order placed at 12:13 was 331594xx, so you are talking about being very close, but a little high, just my 1st order #, Mike.. Any one else have a # lower than that, I am sure there must be many, maybe not from this forum, but 13-minutes is a long time to take orders....Good Luck to all......Mike PS: I just checked the Mints site at 1:50 PM and the sets are still up for sale..

MD, I am lower. Have a number a couple hundred or so less than yours. I got through on the phone 2 minutes after they opened it up.

AGCoinHunter So it would be fair to say they started around 33159000? PS:I called the mint, of course I got through right away, I was told the computers were down yesterday for a very long time and they were taking phone orders till late yesterday. I was also told they are getting very low on sets, I was told" we are around 500 or less sets left"....

Yea, I find that hard to believe unless they are releasing more than 50k. I really dont think that the people taking order have a clue, I would bet its contracted out to some third party company for the mint.

no they will keep taking orders until they have probably an extra 5 or 10% customers just for the orders that doesn't go through for what ever reason like multiple orders from the same person or credit card not going through. I am sure the 50,000 sets has already been sold out and they probably have the 5-10% other customers filled also they just haven't added them up to be sure, I will almost bet anyone that orders anything now will not be getting a set
