I have scanned some coins and wanted to attach them to a posting. However, I keep getting a message that says I cannot upload the scans because it doesn't like my file name. However, I did not name these files so don't know how to fix the problem. Has any one run into this?
I have a number of coins for which I would like to know the grading but can't proceed until I sort this out. Help, please!

you can also try pointing your mouse cursor at the file name. right click you mouse control and you should get a pop up menu, and rename file should be an option. click on rename, the sinply type in a new name making sure there are no symbols, or toher characters besides letters or numbers. then try uploading them again.

I had the same problem when I first tried uploading pictures, I did what dbrablec has suggested and renamed the pictures Example: if I had 4 pictures the first was renamed 1A, the 2nd -1B and so on and no more problems, also if the file size is too large what worked for me was to resize them to 6.50 inches... Hope this helps some....

twilight63: you could try using one of several internet, photo sites - which usually have editing capabilities. I use photobucket.com. you can import your photos, and either crop them or size them down. either will reduce the size or the image.

The forum advises the use of Irfanview to help resize your photos. Another good program (even superior to Irfanview, in my opinion) is FastStone. http://www.faststone.org/

Make sure that you use .jpg's. Size matters. Check the FAQ's as suggested.
