Another South African 1-D Coin 1935 This Time

On the front: GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR on the rear The sailing ship in the middle surrounded by the words: SOUTH.AFRICA 1935 . SUID.AFRIKA In my opinion this coin is in very good condition but as you know I am not a collector. In coin collecting jargon, "very good" has a technical meaning, which roughly translates to "not very good at all". This coin is much better than Very Good condition. Again, the pics are a bit too blurry to be definite, but the king's headband looks pretty intact. I'd rate it at least Very Fine, possibly Extremely Fine. At VF, the CV is $1.50, at EF it's $8. As you can see, sometimes a slight change in grade can make a big difference in price. Which is why clear pics are important when judging a coin. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
