I just got this Magna Carta 2015 £2 coin... Its very shiny and at first glance seems OK but looking at the milling on the edge I am not sure if it is genuine or not. It seems very weak on one side of the edge...and the letters appear differently to the "Standing on the shoulders of giants" coinage.   Are there many of these getting faked I wonder? It seems to weigh OK 12.04g Opinions welcome! |

That looks a genuine one - they used a different font this year.

Thanks Andy... just very sloppy how the milling fades out across the edge so its smooth nearest the camera.

Yup it all looks good to me DavidUK... The only fakes of this known are the Chinese ones with just the strong (sharp) edge milling. Oh, and there's a 2016 one out there now too (Wrong year, wrong portrait, no denomination, frosted design, no edge inscription... anything I forgot ? lol)  REAL 2015 Britannia £2's are showing up all over now too. |

received it a couple of weeks ago   I also managed to get a bag of Peter Rabbit 50p's from my local PO, like getting blood from a stone due to all the old ladies now being replaced with " younger " males who know a bit more about coins  |
