Hi all,
Another trip to the bank produced a couple interesting 20p's .
The first has a lot of extra metal that I think is caused by chips or dents in the die (2008 rose), the second looks like a double strike of the date (1992).

This was in my latest batch of 50p coins from the bank - a large-size 1977 50p with the Machin portrait of QE2. These coins were demonetized 25 years ago!

An inteteresting but not necessarily pleasant find in change - my first fake bimetallic pound coin!

The micro-lettering is absent and the interior core is a slightly bluish color and is magnetic (genuine coins are not).plus the details are all a bit mushy and the designer's initials on the obverse are too far over to the left and too big.

I got this 50p out of a bag from the bank the other day.

Uk~-Interesting-Find-From-The-Circulation-In-The-Uk~

somebody has put a sticker on the coin and put it into circulation. Only worth 50p but i'll keep it just for the sake of it.
It's a pity that the sticker has been placed a little bit too high.
Thanks, Merv

Hi all,
I got some bags of 10p's from the bank today looking for alphabet letters for a couple of friends who collect. 11 bags (£55.00) the first 10 bags... NOTHING. The very last bag was a nice suprise, I got these.

Got a Darwin £10 the other day at a fair, which someone had given as a donation and I swapped out (alright I've got much better examples, but the nostalgia was amazing).
