I'm still anxiously awaiting the results, though I am very confident that you have a 1916. I also think that yours has a good shot at a problem free AG-03 grade(mine is likely FR-02), and think the minor rim bumps would be allowed for the grade...but it also depends on the reverse.

Yeah, I checked. I did not take any photos of the rev :( Oh well, I should have it back soon.

That has to be a '16: the crease in the sash goes far left of the vertical stars, the gown fold curves smoothly to the leg, and the shield rivets are weak. Coinstoreguy is out 1$.

Here is mine side by side with Nod's . Looking at them right next to each other, they actually look about the same grade. His has a stronger shield and drapery, though mine has a bit more detail around the rim. I give his the "nod" in the eye appeal department over mine for sure.

Nope, I just stopped by today. They said it should be in next week, but NGC can be a bit slow occasionally.

I check this post at least 2-3 times a week, anxious to see the grade you end up with.

Quote: I check this post at least 2-3 times a week, anxious to see the grade you end up with. lol, yeah me too! I've only seen low-end examples of these certified by anacs, so I am wondering if NGC or PCGS grades them any differently. I'm really thinking about sending mine in too, for the simple reason that this is one coin that is way easier to sell for top dollar if certified, even if only to say it is genuine.

Just FYI IMO they're both nice 1916s. Also just FYI, I'm a little jealous... But truly I'm VERY happy for you both! You two are a couple of the best and most dedicated numismatists on the Forum!
