I heard of him. He was on Time magazine's online list of 10 least famous presidents yesterday!

By the time Obama's coin comes around, I am sure he will top the list.

eaglefoot: We can't get (Native American
Dollars) at our banks!

That is precisely why I made Native American dollars ten of the
prizes in my DNA's 1100th Post Contest.

The fact that banks cannot special-order Native American
Dollars from the Federal Reserve (and this situation now also applies
to 2010-up Quarters) makes my prizes a little more 'special' .

My planned '1000th Post' Contest turned into an '1100th Post' Contest
as I was waiting for the Denver Mint Gift Shop to distribute those
Native Dollars (because I can't get them at any local bank, either!)

It must be pointed out, however, that banks can in fact
order the Native American dollars from the Direct Ship program
(as available), and the bank could also most likely be able to
'justify' ordering quantities in excess of 20 boxes!

The Direct Ship program is a perfect way for banks to get 'a few'
Native American dollars for their favorite customers....

Banks could order the current issue 1999-2009 Quarters, and can order
the current issue 2007-2016 Presidential dollars, as 'commemorative
issues' from the Federal Reserve, within the particular issue's
specified release period.

Banks could not/cannot order the 2009 Cents, 2009-up Native American
Dollars and the 2010-up Quarters as 'commemorative issues'.

If we're lucky, the Denver Light Rail system will get a distribution
of 2010-D Native American dollars for the change dispensers
(as they did for the 2009's).
