I received these two pennies and a 4 pence today for my type set. The Pennies are both nice examples and they will fit into my collection nicely. The scan of the 1831 has something weird going on in the date area but it's clear under a magnifying glass.

Hi Fyimo,

Your 1831 Penny looks like it's been double struck. The obverse is clear (even the portrait), the reverse less so, but I'm certain that's the cause.

Sure looks like a double strike to me.Wow.I like it and I don't know squat about darkside coins.I will say Fyimo, your photo skills are fantastic.

Very nice additional to your type set. From the images the 1831 really does look double struck.
