Yeah -- if you had asked for your other half-cent, it might have been 1861 and completed your set!

All names, places, and exact times shall remain anonymous. In the early 2000's, on a wild wintry night, in the early am hours, a very drunk driver failed to negotiate a very sharp turn, and landed in the living room of a house. Drunk driving can never be good, or end well. Anyway, in comes the construction company, and a construction worker, who finds the dirt encrusted 1943 coin, and gives it to me. Now look close at the obverse. There is what seems to be a tool mark running down the front of Georges' face. Do we have a CSI person in here? I will send pictures of tools! He says thats the way it came out of the ground.

Why are there 1909 Wheaties showing up in Canada all of a sudden.
(Not to mention other dates)I've found 2. 1 in a roll(While roll searching) And 1 in circulation(Both 1909)
Also got ((2)) 1949 silver quarters while in Peterborough On.
From the same fast food store as change Nice bonus!

Well, if you include roll hunting...

1c = 1909 LWC US, 1943 Canada
5c = dateless buffalo t2 (so 1913-1938)
10c = 1957
25c = 1964
50c = 1936, 1961 Canada
$1 = 1971

Other = 1927 British penny

Bought a roll of pennies here in North Dakota to search, and included in the roll was a nice Canadian 1947 penny. Also found a Canadian 1945 chrome nickel laying on the ground outside of Target.

Several years ago (1981 to be exact) I found an Canadian 1870 silver 5 cent coin laying on the floor of a warehouse and I still have it.

my best circulation finds are listed below, most of the older stuff has come from coin machine rejects and the rest through roll seaching. The oldest coin I've received in pocket change was a 1911 Lincoln Cent.
