Here's an 1884 Morgan I just picked up from another CCF member. I was hoping to get a little help assigning a VAM but as usual my pictures aren't good enough. Thought I'd post these anyway because it's been a while since I had anything to post.

There is a little bit of toning around the edges that appear black in my pictures, in hand it's a blue fading into a bronze.

far date is about all I can tell from the photo, nice coin though!!you can always send it to me

I'm betting MS64, the cheek rub would keep it from 65 reverse is gorgeous

I was pretty sure it was a far date & suspect it might be a VAM8. It's got a die crack that runs from the top of the 1 to the base of the neck & then to the star that matches the picture in VAMworld. Unfortunately that's the only markers shown for VAM8 so I'm not confident about attribution.

This coin is in one of the really old "Official ANA Grade" slabs, & is graded MS63.

That's a very nice coin, and the toning on the obverse adds to it for me. I'm a real junkie for toning.
