Thanks Mycrob and Cownas! Quote: Which is next? DBLC or SL Dollar? Decisions decisions. The SLD is somewhat cheaper in problem free XF, so that is likely to be the next target, but it really depends on what I find with good quality at a decent price and I have available funds to spare. Since my collecting interests are going in all sorts of directions, it may be a little while.

Wow ..... Outstanding collection! That's a set I hope to have the knowledge and resources to someday tackle. You have done a wonderful job of compiling a well matched set of high grade coins ..... and I have enjoyed every minute of looking at the photos (three times). Looking forward to your next update. Wonderful set. I love the nickels and dimes especially. What is the year/grade on the 3 cent silver. It looks PL in the pics.

LOL, my pictures got goofed up. I downloaded a picture with the same name for my merc set and my type set (page1_top). They were saved in 2 different locations on my home computer, and were different pictures; yet coin community views them as the same pic, so it can only be one or the other. Now I have (page1_top) set to my Mercury dime picture for both threads. I'll fix it during lunch. Anyways, my 3 cent silver is an 1859, and grades around XF-45 imo. It looks PL from these shots only because the fields are colorfully toned, where as the obverse devices are still silver colored. I do have a classic proof in this set though with PL surfaces! Can you find it? ;-)

holy WOW - there are a ton of coins that it could be. What a beautiful set. My guess is the 1866-1899 quarter... but there are about ten that it COULD be...

that is a beautiful set. I'm way out on mine and just trying to begin with F/VF thinking that I will upgrade later when finances improve.
Congratulations on a winner there.

Wow! Spectacular collection! I need 22 more coins in my 7070, but I do not have the gold page in my book. My set is ch. vf - choice BU. I thought about skimping on some of the large cents because they are so expensive, but after seeing how good they look in your album I am not sure I want to do that now. :)
