Finally! Time for a follow up! First are photos taken in the same (or similar) light as the originals. I must point out that the camera was removed from the tri-pod and the tri-pod was put away between the before and after photos. Since I had to "re-learn" the setup, it resulted in what I think are much sharper photos than the before pictures. I also changed the background (paper towel replaced with plain paper). Since my first pictures are on the previous page, I will add the before shots (Before, After, Before, After).

Here are after photos while using the flash. This is actually closer to what the coin looks like in hand. For example, in hand I cannot see the residual dark areas on the reverse that shows in the other "after" pictures (especially around 11 to 12 o'clock). However, this problem area was quite obvious (in hand) before conservation. The verdict: although magnification reveals what might be considered a more modest improvement, I feel that the eye appeal has increased significantly.

YAY! The obverse turned out better than I expected! Still, it was pretty much what I predicted. The reverse came out exactly as I expected because that's more what the product was designed for. Thanks for running the independent test jbuck! Are going to try it on some more coins? Do you feel confident enough to use it on more valuable pieces?

I am going to try it on some cupro-nickel next. I feel confident enough to try the product on something with more value, but I have not decided what just yet.

Thanks for sharing your results! I absolutely love it when folks show before/after pictures!
This coin was an ideal candidate for conservation. How long did it take you?

That did come out great! One day, I'll get around to buying a bottle, since I have a 1995 proof that could use it.

I guess I ended up letting it set for about an hour (I actually got sidetracked I only meant to let it sit for about 15 mins) with a little toothpick work around the rim and lettering. It worked wonderfully. I actually have two more sitting right now. I'll let you know how those go as well.
You've definitely sold me on the product!

Sorry, VERDI-CARE™ is not recommended for proof coins.

Will try to post result pics tomorrow... or later today...
I have a question though, can you used multiple VC treatments and will it do any good?

You can use it as much as you need to on the same coin. I've had a few where I soaked and didn't like the results. So I resoaked, use a toothpick and still wasn't good enough, so I went to the towel method. Just keep in mind, each time you use it a micro-layer will be removed from the surface. You don't want to over do it so be careful!

What are the results youve goten with proofs? i only ask cause I bought some hazy proofs I was planning on trying. I'm thinking a 10 minute at a time per surface soak and see what we get. https://goccf.com/t/69431These are the guys I'm gonna try it on.
