I'll be interested to see how these poll results compare with the two previous (and now archived) polls, here and here.

Harry,

Glad you fessed up. Seemed no one over 50 wanted to stake a claim.

I'm 57 with 51 years of collecting experience ... and learning new things about the hobby every day.
Rest in Peace

Thanks. I'm the same age as Lafaa, 12.

Holy Cow! If I were to guess, I would have thought you to be in your 30s, or at least 20s based on how mature you come across.

Thanks Johnny, I think it's only due to the fact that I always try to use correct grammar and spelling when posting.
Rest in Peace

Although this poll is somewhat accurate, there is one primary problem with the results. That is it only is for the forums members. At a coin show you usually see a much larger percentage of really elderly types compared to most others. And too, at a coin show there is practically very little of the younger crowd. By this I mean at coin shows most are well over the 50 age bracket and hardly any under the 30 age. Some but few under 40 also. I've noticed this too at most coin stores. Naturally this is probably due to really young individuals don't have transportation to get there. People in the late teens to about 40 are usually busy around a house or with families.
A poll on a coin forum may be more accurate since almost any age can participate and even those that are usually busy with homes, gardens, families, etc usually can take a few minutes out to vote. But then too your always limited to this forums members. Would be a better poll is we had several hundred thousand members so get out there and recruit.
