These coins are mixed from both mints.

Awesome!

If you get them at the business strike Mint facilities, you only get
that Mint's coins; eg: You get only Denver coins at the Denver Mint,
and only Philadelphia coins at the Philadelphia Mint...

the silvers will always at least have some intrinsic value.

That's why I like the 5 oz.'ers. They will even be edge-lettered
with their weight and fineness!

No there is not .. never was.

He might be talking about the bureau of engraving and printing (BEP)

Or maybe some outlet associated with the mint.

I have been thinking a lot about this, ATB Quarters.

I know I will be buying some mint and proof sets, at least two each.
If I do find some BU's in change I will keep them.
If I can go thru some rolls at my local coin shops, I will cherry pick some.
If I can pick up some BU rolls on E bay at close to face value, I will do that also.

Also I am sure I will put together two or three Dansco albums.

I have no intention of collecting them. For me it will start out like the State Quarters & prez. dollars. I collected the 1st few then got bored with them. I guess I enjoy the hunt of the coin that suits me.

I've been absent from the hobby for a short awhile so I have no clue about these. Please enlighten me.

So they're available in the proof and unc sets in satin finish?
Then business strikes are available in rolls and bags? Which can also be collected from circulation?

Why would they be low mintage? I thought someone mentioned.

I'm trying to make up my mind whether to collect or not.

Shatsi....

Yeah.....it'll be exactly the same thing as the "State Qtrs. Program" except that these won't be made available to banks "upon request"....meaning - you won't be able to just trot down to the bank and grab a roll every time a new one comes out. The only way to get them from a bank would then be in "mixed rolls". And if there are some very low mintage ones (like last years dimes and nickels) then getting them from "the wild" would be REALLY HARD !

So, yup. Proof Sets. Silver Proof Sets. Uncirculated Satin Finish Sets. and then the (overpriced) bags and two roll sets from the Mint will be the only way to get the Biz. strikes.....or at least the "easiest" way. That's really the "pondering" here....

Why would they be low mintage? I thought someone mentioned.

Well, last years Territory Qtr., the Northern Mariana Islands "P" mint was the lowest mintage quarter in 50 years.......the "D" mint right behind that one....and a couple other Territory Qtrs. with some good low mintages too.....so.....it stands to reason that with an 11 year program of these America The Beautiful Qtrs. that there would be several (if not many) of them that would be a low mintage as well, and considering the economy and with what the Mint's been doing.....there "could" be some extremely low mintage ones, but who knows for sure.

Still no Proof Silver Eagles so far this year........AGAIN !
Last years Dimes and Nickels looks to possibly be repeated again.
Other denominations "may" take a dive in numbers too.....so that's what the deal is......how to collect these "starting off", without having to play "catch-up" years from now, or spending too much money in doing it regardless.

I've checked several local banks. They don't have any. Anybody have any luck finding some at a bank?

I did get my 2 roll set from the mint today. I won't open it just yet.

That's one of my issues with these.....those two roll sets cost WAYYYY TOOOO MUCH money to just "open them". IMHO.
I don't want to buy a two roll set 4-5 times a year for an 11 year program !! ....

But what if this "is" the only way to get Biz strikes in P & D for each one ? ...

Don't Worry! You might be able to find a Hot Springs Quarter in circulation by 2017-2019.

I wonder if Puerto Rico will be the first area to have finds in the wild on these like they were with alot of the Lincoln Cents last year......

I checked with banks here yesterday - no dice.

I'll buy the silver proof sets from the mint, but have firmly decided to find other ways to get the business strikes.
