Don't Worry! You might be able to find a Hot Springs Quarter in circulation by 2017-2019.

I'm sure "eventually" they'll begin showing up...not "both" mints, but at least one mint, and some more than others with low mintages........but WHAT KIND OF CONDITION WILL THEY BE IN BY THEN TOO !! ............I really doubt BU !

Yea I agree with you Eaglefoot, If you are lucky enough to find one in circulation there is a 99.5% chance it will not be BU due to handling and circulation nics and bangs.

It would be painful to order the 2 roll set 5x a year for the next 11 years

.......

Of course I'd be a willing partner in something like that, and have certainly thought about it. But, there are some issues with such a long term commitment like that.
The main concern, if there ends up being a lot of them with low mintages (extrememly low), is just being able to find one ! Like what if one ends up being like last years Dimes or Nickels ? And so your "trading partner" has his P or D, but you can't find one to send out ?
The other problem is.....CONDITION.....you get sent a nice BU example to fulfill the bargain.....but the only ones you can find on your end are in really crappy condition !
And NOBODY on either side of this equation can just trot down to the bank and get rolls of them when they come out like the State Qtrs.....so......this will be A LOT OF ROLL HUNTING ! .....AND ROLL HUNTING FOR 11 YEARS ! .....
Then there is the constant postage and envelopes for 11 years....5 times a year !

So....yeah.....I just have some "concerns".....about doing that. I think I'd be willing to try it though.....

I just doubt that I'm going to pay for any Two Roll Sets five times a year for 11 years.....and so if that's the case....it will be "Roll Hunting Mania" for a long long long time for me!
It sometimes takes MONTHS or even a YEAR or so, before I even get the DENVER mint, which is just west of me about 550 miles ! Let alone seeing a P mint (which is what I'd need to trade for) .....those generally take A LOT LONGER ! .....and then the condition is C.R.A.P.P.Y. by the time I see my P mints around here ! ....
Some "new issues" just don't immediately show up here for quite some time.....sometimes they do.......sometimes they don't.

It would probably be a new 2017-2019 issue (with higher mintages in the
next period of economic growth) rather than the 'key' 2010-2011 issues!

This series could be the 'opposite' of State Quarters, in respect that
the lowest mintage Parks Quarters might be the first issues, with the
mintages gradually increasing towards the end of the series. Attrition
of existing State Quarters over time, and economic recovery, are both
factors that would increase mintage totals as the series progresses.

Will whatever pitiful quantities of early Hot Springs Quarters that
dribble into circulation even stay in circulation long enough to
get down to, say, VF grade before they get cherry-picked out by a
collector?!

Well I attended the Hot Springs Opening only because it just turned out I would be going by there April 20th so why not stop. Next year when Gettysburg comes out I hope it is when I am here as I live 30 minutes from there so will attend that also. I may attend some other close ones if the timing is right.

I asked my bank yesterday if they were getting the new rolls they said they should however I have my doubts as the stopped getting the State Quarters at the beginning of 2009. But I hope they do is so I ill get one roll to trade P for D.

I may get the 5oz anyone know when that will come out?

I read that bullion dealers will sell these anyone know if this is right like APMEX?

I will get the Proof yearly set for the silver and other proofs of these as getting all those proof sets is getting to expensive so will just get the yearly Proof and Silver Proof they will have them all in.

I hate that banks aren't going to be able to get these in. I bought a Hot Springs P & D set for $2.00 from ebay from a trusted seller so that crisis of getting the first one is over.

We need 40 guys there will be 5 qtr 2 roll mint sets per year we would need each member in the swap to purchase one 2 roll mint set for the 1st eight years based on a 40 coin roll. then get the last 3 p&d qtrs on are own to complete the p&d set.each member in the swap would have to pay $32.95+ s/h $4.95 + $18.33 for 39 stamps @ 0.47 per stamp = 56.23 Total per member per park p&d roll set.local dealers dont get them that fast have to call around and wast gas is this the best way or can we find them in circulation eagle foot?

I have no idea how I am going to get these coins. I am from Canada and will be returning there next year which means I won't be able to get them in my change.

If there are going to be some low mintage issues....then it'll be very tough to do that ! And if you "do" find some....then the condition likely won't be BU.
As far as creating a "trading group" of that size.....well.....I'm not sure I'd be on board with that ! Nothing wrong with your schematics in your plan though.
I think I'd prefer to trade with just a couple/three people, and just on a "have it in hand" type of deal, rather than a concrete agreement that I'm not clear on.....or one that I'm not 100% positive I'll be able to do.

Once you get 50 posts......you could buy the Two Roll Set and sell the singles right here on CCF.
Or, like I'll probably end up doing, just be willing to trade with qualified members, an "even single BU Quarter swap - P for a D" once it is "in hand".
I don't know yet what the mintage numbers of the inaugural issues of these Parks Qtrs. is going to be. I've no idea yet how hard they'll be to get. I just know that I want to secure some nice BU examples for albums/folders and a "stock" of them, just to "have". That would be "ideal" for me, and then out of that, to be able to offer some trades for a P mint would be good. This will be very difficult to happen for me, if there are low mintages........ (i.e. last years dimes and nickels----or the P&D Mariana Qtr.)----(very hard to find in the wild)

I have had a trading post up for some time now with the Territory quarters here on CCF. Not too many people seem to really take advantage of it. I really don't think a forty person group would work very well. That being said, I have an idea. Since I am already committing to a two roll set from now to the end of the program (just got my hot springs) I suggest this:

A subscription program. Cost for one year of P&D Quarters from a two roll set plus shipping is about $12.50. If I got about 15 people who were willing to pay, up front $15.00, I would send out a problem free P & D set, in flips, every issue throughout the year. This is not as competitive as ebay at $2.00 a set but I would presumably be offering better quality coins or fear serious reprisals from the forum. Of course cancel at any time, blah, blah, blah...If this seems like an idea, I am offering the service, please let me know ASAP and I'll work up the contracts and mail them out to everyone.

That's a good idea Kurt.....I wasn't aware of that. I tend to just hang out on the Modern area of the forum and not go anywhere else !
That's a good plan for you to make the "Two Roll Sets" affordable for "you" for the 11 year run too, hopefully, because otherwise, MAN WOULD THAT BE EXPENSIVE !
By the time you do postage....and envelopes....and buying the two roll sets each time....hopefully your "math" would allow you to have what "you" need at no extra cost !

I still can't decide how/what I want to do with the Parks Qtrs.....

I have my Territory Dansco complete already, with Biz. strike, Satin Finish, Proof, and Silver Proof. And I have the F.D.C.C.'s for all of them too ! This in part was thanks to you and others here on CCF in some awesome trading and gifts of which I'm so thankful for !
I've also almost got full coin tubes of all of the D mint Territories in BU......still have only found two "P" mint ones from the wild though......got a long way to go to complete coin tubes of THOSE !
I don't know if I'll continue in a similar fashion with the Parks Qtrs......low mintage ones ....probably ! I'll definitely build an album.....and probably a couple folders......and probably try to help my step-daughter and my Nephew build theirs.....OH LORD ! IT'S STARTING AGAIN !

I think all just call around then to some local dealers in the area as I'm in a big city and see if I can get them @ 2 times face value witch would total $55.00 I know when I tryed to complete 2 p&d sets of the State Quarters,i found a few local dealers that purchased p&d bags and sold individual ones @ $0.50 each but the bags were in larger quantites now the mint bags are only $25.00=100 coins low mintages I will check around for now and see if I can come up with some other ideas thanks for shareing guys !

I know they ony produce around 1 million of these sets August/September 2010 United States Mint Silver Proof Set™ and with the mint only selling $25.00 bu bags, maybe 2010 b/u qtrs will have production figures close to the silver sets, maybe this is a great opportunity to gobble up some bags before they sell out, what do you guys think I should do buy a bag or not ? ? .
