I've probably been through 25+ boxes of cents and have still not found an IHC yet. What are everyone's approximate find rates on IHC's?

I've NEVER found one in a bank box. However, I did find a couple while searching my friends 25 year old change hoard.

I have probably searched 100 boxes and it took about 80 boxes before I found an IH. Then I found 4 in 6 boxes. :)

Gothic, I personally go thru between 2 and 4 boxes a week. In the last four yrs I have found 2. So, If I avg 3 boxes a week, that is one IHC for every 300 plus boxes. Jim

None, in one year of searching. Probably 500 rolls.

I don't do a ton of roll searching, but I've never found an IHC.

I found 2 in my second box a few months ago. I'm on my 20th or so box now, and haven't found one since. Beginners luck..

I've found 3 or 4 in the last year roughly......Fed Resv. String & Son boxes mostly......occasionally I'll find a Brinks box from a bank I don't belong to.....but IHC's are just plain rare and hard to find "in the wild" regardless. In my opinion, it's half "luck" and half "persistence". You need to have " BOTH" to find IHC's !...... one or the other isn't enough !A lot of folks find Franklins from searching halves.....until a month or two back, I'D NEVER found one !....and I've searched THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars worth over the years..... Persistence and "volume" just isn't enough......gotta have some luck in there too ! ...

Over 700 pounds of hoarded copper cents and I have found 2. That's 2 more than any 1909 LMC'c!

Wow, I must be really lucky. I've only searched about 6 or 7 boxes in my short-lived career and I have found 2. One just this past weekend.
