Goodness Brewzz, that is one very nicely detailed coin. I feel relieved for you. You just don't see those in that condition every day.

Moe, you're a one man show. I like long lines of nice CBH like that.

I agree the Draped Busts are awesome! And Zeewool, your 1800 is supreme! Thanks for sharing!

Since this thread seems to be winding down (though I only made it to the 1823s...) I'll post one last one. (Feel free to keep posting if you all wish, though!)

For Zeewool, the King of 1837 CBHs.

an 1837 Capped Bust half dollar:
(The only one he doesn't own! And the only one I do!)

And the only other DBH I have:

I don't know that I would call your 1837 "the king of the 1837 CBH' Moe, but yours is certainly one of my favorites. It is JR-2B, and when you tire of it, let me know. I did post photos of four examples of that coin earlier in the thread, so I actually do have it also. If I were to pick the 'king of the 1837s' though, it would have to be JR-23 (R-7), because of the fabulous dissecting reverse die cracks at D & F.

Gene, it really would be pretty fantastic (either fantastic or fake) if it were a half (none made in 1800) That is a dollar coin.

I'm not saying my 1837 is the king of 1837s, I'm saying Zeewool is the King of 1837s! (Actually of all the reeded edged CBHs).

And it does look like mine is a JR-2B. I looked at yours and I'd recognize those die cracks anywhere! I also agree your JR-23 is the King! I love intersecting Die Cracks!

Thanks for making this thread awesome!
