First of all sorry about the pics. I am not sure why my color has gone off the deep end.

This is a 2001 Penny. Looks uncirculated. On the corner of the holder someone scrawled "Dots above N"

Any ideas.

Do you see any dots above any of the N's obverse or reverse? That picture through the film isn't showing a thing.

It's not a variety I'm aware of, likely a small Cud or similar somewhere on the coin.

i see four faint dots side by side above the N in CENT.

I see whart might be a dod, above the level of the word, and about one-third in from the left leg. It could be a die gouge, or....
