1959 Nickel Error ? - Coin Community Forum

detlow New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 06/30/2010 08:07 am I received a large box full of coins from my mother and this 1959 nickel was wrapped up. I see that the rim is turned inward and overlaps the lettering. I have put another 1959 nickel with it for comparison. Is this a coin error and if so what kind? Thanks for helping a newbie! zeewool Pillar of the Community 3660 Posts	Posted 06/30/2010 1:54 pm If the description and the picture match to what I think that I might be seeing, maybe just the rim edge has been worn over (by what, I have no idea), but until close up photos might be supplied, I would have to call it PMD.
