I took this home while I was at the bank pulling stuff to sell. The reverse toning caught my eye, it's WAY cooler in hand. Seems like 80% of the colors are missing from the toned area. Sorry for the quick and dirty pics, I didn't want to crack my Air-Tite just for a pic and I'm too lazy to crop right now. LOL

Very nice coin! I love the purple toning. Eons ago, it seems, when I was filling my 35 to 40 Lincolns with ChBU's my dealer would give me a bunch of the years I was interested in to choose from. There was a '37 (think that was the date) that I did not choose for the album, but it had the prettiest splash of purple, or violet, toning on the reverse. I picked it up also just because of the toning. It's a little darker than yours, an RB, but I've always wondered what it was about the 30's Lincolns that caused them to tone in this manner. I have seen quite as few like this and they've always been from the mid to late 30's.

Your picture does a good job of capturing it, and what appears to be a 64 coin. And yes, in RED!
