The date on this '91-P seems so much thicker than others I have compared it to. What do you guys think?

Heres a 1991 that looks like the 1DO-001 on coppercoins. With no die markers listed and this coin not having die markers I think its a match. I don't see extra thickness on your coin.

A couple of things besides being a doubled die can make devices loo larger than normal. If the hubbing was stronger on the die or hubbed by a newer hub that can make it appear to be larger. Or an EDS or EMDS coin can make the devices seem larger. On your coin the die state is probably the cause. Interesting thought: Not the west side of the first 1 in the date. You can see where the die was over polished on that side of the date. Certain years have wider/narrower devices, you did the right thing to compare it to another coin from the same year/mint mark. That is what most forget to do before posting.
