I have a few die variety nickels that came as part of a lot I bought on ebay. They're just in 2x2s so I'm not sure they are what they claim to be. I didn't really pay anything for them since there were no good pictures of them in the listing. I just counted them as War Nickels when figuring my bid.

The first Nickel is the one from the lot that claims to be a 1943 P "Doubled Eye." The second one is one I've picked out of a pile of War Nickels. I figure if the first one is real, then so is the second but I'm not sure about the first one so that doesn't really help me. I haven't seen any good examples of lower grade "Doubled Eye" nickels.

So, Are they real?

Lighting is a bit dull and coming from the wrong direction to tell for sure. I'm leaning toward no, but I would have to see it better.

I tried to get a better pic. I assume I want the light coming from my left? Hopefully this is a little better
