Here's another Star Note I found recently. I used to save every Star Note I found but then I stopped because I had so many, then I found out that some had lower print runs so I started saving them again but only keeping the 320k and 640k runs (or lower, also have a 128k $100 Star Note from 2009) or the ones in mint condition

The bill acceptor on the vending machine wasn't working today, but I was able to trade my EMSed bills for quarters on another machine and wait for people to try and put their bills into the defective validator. Eventually someone did and they showed me 2 bucks to trade. I started to take the one in better condition, but they stopped me and said "this one." Jokes on them, as the other bill I ended up with is a 1995 L-K bill!

Uhhh, may I ask why the serial numbers are blocked? I can understand why if they're entered to Where's George, but they might be cool numbers that we can't see and evaluate.

I got these 3 from a teller last night.

She said she had customers actually refuse to take them when she tried to hand them back out.

Well done, you've probably gotten yourself 100 bucks worth right there based on the condition of those bills.

That's actually the reason.. I had posted them on the WG site and even though they're not entered, there's always someone hassling you about obscuring the serials so I just got in the habit of doing it so's to not have to hear it anymore... Don't think the serials were anything interesting but will check them to see if there's anything of note

Hmmmmmm....$100? I hope so but when chatting with the owner of the LCS, he told me bills like these are worth slightly more than $20 unless in uncirculated condition (or a star note). He showed me many older bills in plastic sleeves priced a couple of dollars more than face value (and reminded me $1 of that was to recover the cost of the plastic sleeve). I was sad to hear that since I saved many older bills from my paper route money that aren't worth much more than face 30+ years later. That said, I collect for the interest as opposed to the value. Can always hope to hit on both though.

With that in mind, around $70 would be my guess (including the vinyl). However, currency is unfamiliar territory for the most part for me so it is a rough guess. Still, great additions Jack!
