I don't post on these forums often, but I used to work at a bank... one day someone brought in a 1928 $100 Bill, that was 10 years ago.

I got TWO NCBH (the 1996-2001 design) 20s today, one I traded a 20 for because I saw it was old, the other was at a food truck in which I gave 20 marked dollar bills for, so that one I got without even knowing!

I got a 2003A A-A bill in school today and it was printed in May 2005, the first month of this series.

I'm not sure if this really counts as "in circulation", but I sold a coin to a dealer at a show a few weeks back and he paid with some musty-smelling "old money" that he said he recently got out of a house. Most were pretty grungy, but this one was worth keeping:

He paid in 10s and 20s and they were all either from 1950 or 1963. I guess I could have saved all of them, but I was selling the coin because I wanted cash to spend in the first place...

Dealer was probably hoping your would turn around and spend the cash on him.

I have to say, btw, that I've never gotten used to the "big head" modern bills, so it was nice to see some "real" money again.

barryg - This series was printed between 1963 and 1965 and is usually collected in CU. I usually figure if a dealer has better use for the money then probably I should as well.

@CS780... In it's condition it isn't worth more than face but for a 1977 series it is in really great shape and would keep it if you can afford too...

Another find from one of my teachers, a 2003 $10 (DL..A). Only my second 2003 $10 entered, and I had it EMed and ready to spend.

I got a 1995 J-T bill from a kid at a pizza place today. He was going to put it into the change machine, but I offered to trade explaining what I did, and he was cool with it and even traded the rest of the bills he had on him for my EMSed ones.
