Please take a look and tell me what you see. The FG has a restamp of the FG outlined just to the east of the initials. I am using a 10x loupe and no matter how I turn it I see the 1988 G except when it catches the restamp outling. Thanks for looking. My pic's are still terrible, I may have reduced them too much? I'm sorry. Thanks for looking. . .Added a couple more pics.
I know that there was at least one die from '89 that was so over-polished that it looks like the reverse of '88. There is a nice die scratch/polishing mark running SE-NW from the middle of the "N" in CENT through the "E" in CENT. I'll see if I can find the link. So, more than likely, if you have one, it is an over-polished die. There are no known '89's with the reverse of '88, so far.
For what it's worth, if you do have one, there are collectors for it. I'm not one of them, but some people do collect them. Just like the no FG halves, some collect them, some do not. To me, it's just an over-polished die.
Thank you Scooby Due. Mine does not have the die scratches. I will try and get better pics and send. I'm having trouble getting the right size to upload.
