This lens seems like its pretty well sealed to me? I will be doing some other pics this afternoon.
The rings are on the coins not in the plastic! LOL I will get pics of both coins this time.
Im thinking about the offer from jcuve but I would need more details.

Jason, I am going to update my profile. First name is Kip. I love your pics of the variety LMC's. My reference to LL-001 was meant to be the first recorded error cent in the Linclong Dollar series. NOt really sure how those numbering systems work and it takes experts like youreself to keep it all straight. Anyway, I'm glad we got your website up, becuase I bet that it's very educational. I"ll be checking it out and watching this post. Never spent a great deal of time with Lathe line errors, but it has piqued my interest. ANd that my friends is what this site is all about. Metalman - keep us posted on what you find if you remove them from the case.

Hi Dcreek, I broke the set open already, the lines are on the coins "not the plastic", I will be posting updated pics of the coins a little later today "without the plastic" to interfere with the images.

I went back and rechecked mine. The lines (Lathe Lines) are on the insert plastic of the coin holder inside of the case. Pop the coin out of the insert and look at the empty hole of the insert in front of the light and I think you will see the lines.
If not and you do have lathe lines on the coin, Congrats for a nice find.

Do the lathe lines raise the value of business strike coins? I know I have thrown a few cents that had the lines back into my change jar.

I don't know if there is or ever will be any significant premium for the lathe line coins, most errors require that there be a market place (group of agressive collectors) who's interest in the coins would make the demand higher than the supply to garner any real premium.

Sorry for the late reply, my week has been crazy. Looks like Lathe Lines but I would have to examine under a scope to be certain. If so, this would be the first ones reported on both a proof issue and on a higher denomination. As far a value I'm not sure. When sold correctly on ebay with clear photos I have seen a '96D Lincoln go for $20-30. When over sold and the photos are not clear they can go for nothing. With a coin like this maybe I can get a write up by Billy Crawford to generate interest. Can you send it?

Sorry...I don't think it's eligible for a DCAM designation. LOL. Interesting coins.

For sure they will never see that designation, The reverse of the coins are really quite nice though.

If these are lathe lines, why do I see them on Franklin Pierces face? Just curious. WOLF

I see nothing on his face under 16X with the coin in hand. In reality there is little else that could cause what is seen on the coins other than lathe lines.
