Thinking Of Adding Some Morgan CC's To My Collection

skylar New Member United States 9 Posts	Posted 09/14/2010 5:31 pm I've got the chance to buy a few Morgan dollars, all of which are from the carson city mint (cc) the years are: 1880cc fine 1878cc fine 1890cc vg 1885cc xf They want about <600 for the lot. It's from a private collector, i'll be going buy with my loupe to check them out and I'm looking to buy them for two reasons: 1. I'd like to add key dates to my collection 2. As a slight investment, although knowing I have key dates is more important :D Any advice? Report this Post to the Staff

Purchase these uncirculated that are slabbed by an upper tier third party grading company or buy them in GSA packs. These should hold their value and even appreciate their value over time. Prices assume the coins are accurately graded/problem-free and if so, $600 sounds like a very good deal. skylar New Member United States 9 Posts	Posted 09/14/2010 9:43 pm Thanks for the feedback, sorry for referring to them as key dates, I was just assuming that anything from "cc" would be a key date, I was thinking that those (cc mint) were the lowest minted, I need to check my Red Book more :D Report this Post to the Staff
