Tell me what you think of the doubling of the reverse.
The doubling starts with the last T in States and continues thru
"of America" and "Half Dollar".
I hope the photos are good enough.

Just my uninformed opinion...Looks like MD. The doubling looks to be flat/shelf like and I do not see any notching. Be sure to let one of the experts give their opinion. Just my 2 cents.

Die movement. This happens a lot on the larger planchet coins. Or commonly called Machine Doubling. Nothing is actually doubled, just pushed during the strike. On a doubled die the devices would be doubled. On Machine Doubling they are just damaged during the strike.
