I have no idea. What's interesting is that it's from your neck of the woods...SF -- Fed. Also the notes were NOT in sequential order. It's like they were shuffled together and then combined to make straps of 100 notes. Where is that L 0045 6789 A?

No one has mentioned Liar's Poker. Something like you claim that your note and their note will yield so many of a number, I don't remember the details. Having multiples of a number gives you an edge.

Bumpy bump. Some notes I mentioned a while back on this thread. Anyone find any / buy any lately?

What are the criteria that make a serial particularly interesting? I guess I should keep an eye out... I have a $1 star bill I saved a while back F13767376*, Series 2003A.

What exactly is a ladder? I mean apart from the series of numbers what is the whole idea behind these ladders?

Below is a link that describes Fancy SN's Refer to item 7 (ladder notes) http://reviews.ebay.com/Fancy-Bank-...000001758931Read this topic from the beginning to get an idea behind what others consider partial ladders etc. Certain combination of Serial Numbers with eye appeal are tough to find and are collected fancy SN collectors.

Nick, here you go. This is a "ladder type set" we had discussed a while back. Next of this type of set would lead to a solid in the middle. Btw, this was not easy to do (matching fed / block etc) as I had to end up buying the notes from 2 different people over a period of time. Long story. The radars do not have the eye appeal as the repeaters.

That's awesome I sure hope I am not the only one who can appreciate the work that goes into collecting a set like that.

I look through bills also, looking for odd numerical arrangements. But,If the numbers arent in a "wow" type of arramgement, such as 12345678 or 07041776...I just spend them...Its sort of like errors on cents,If you really have to look hard to see it,then its not worth it!

Frazzle, do you collect / hold back radars / repeaters or you pass on them in the wild? Somewhat puzzled by the wow factor comment. FWIW, I doubt if I will ever find a full ladder or a solid in the wild. Too many folks looking for it including some of the tellers I know

Those are awesome notes Ceylon! I can't imagine how much time it took to find those notes or the people who had the ones you had to looking for.
