Searched my 2nd box of quarters today and found nothing worth keeping. A few scratched up ATB's but no hole fillers. Zilch as far as silver. Should I be switching to dimes if I want to find silver?

Box number 3. Nothing special. I did find my Vicksburg ATB though. That may be worth 1 dancing fruit.

very excited to post in this thread today because not only can I be happy to report to the quarter searching naysayers but also to the brinks naysayers I will most certainly get some scans up after I am done with the box, but here is the story so far. While searching the edge of the top row of coins at my dad's collision shop where I was spending some time today I saw an edge that wasn't american silver, but also wasn't canadian. I live in buffalo, so canadian edges are familiar to me. Anyways I figured it had to be canadian silver. I opened the roll, and BAMM 1957 80%er falls out! I went into my dads shop thinking nothing of it and showing off. Well, he went on his roof to see why there was a leak and while I was watching the ladder for him I was searching the edges. In the next row there was the same kind of edge. Opened it and BAMM 1955 80% canadian I get home all excited and tear into the box. Check the edges and pulled another 1955,1939, 1940, 1968 6 silver canadians. The 68 doesn't stick to a magnet meaning it is 50% silver but still very happy as you guys can probably tell. Now to go look closer at each coin for more goodies. I will report back with pics and the final count later. PEACE

wow I wouldn't use a coin counter ever, It doesn't really take me that much extra time to slide the coins back into their rolls shrink wrapped brinks rolls dont even take me that long because my old work gave me boxes of rollers with one end crimped when they went out of business! I hear quite a few people on here coming up short, never that short, but a few bucks short when using the coin counters This is probably because rolls are short a few coins here and there, but still, I'd rather give my money t a human rather then a terminator machine lol

@ricardocody- 1. I sent you a PM a few days ago but you havent responded. 2. if your coin counter has a magnet, check for canadian coins and other foregin stuff. I actually have found enough in them to make up for whatever I have lost I'm sure.
